If you haven’t checked your calendar lately, you might want to. It’s the holidays! And our very own Greensboro has a lot going on to celebrate. Here are a handful of holiday happenings in Greensboro in 2019. Even the Grinch himself wouldn’t want to miss out!

The Downtown Greensboro Festival of Lights features holiday favorites galore. From the lighting of the community tree in Center City Park to columns of Christmas carolers along Elm Street, the Festival of Lights has everything to boost your Christmas spirit just right. You can also meet Santa, cozy up at the hand-warming stations, take a group holiday photo, and go on a holiday shopping spree!
Mark your calendar for Friday, Dec. 6 for this festival. It begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 9.
Greensboro Holiday Parade, Dec. 7
A staple of Greensboro for more than 40 years, the Greensboro Holiday Parade boasts huge, Macy’s parade balloons, multiple performing bands, and a host of festive floats! Sing along, clap, and enjoy the Christmas cheer as the streets of downtown Greensboro are turned into a winter wonderland.
The Greensboro Holiday Parade will be on Saturday, Dec. 7 at high noon–rain or shine!
Santa at the Biltmore Hotel, Dec. 8-23
Bring along a camera—and take your photo with St. Nick! Santa will be at the Biltmore Hotel through much of the season, ready to capture a Kodak moment with you and your loved ones. Plus, downtown shopping and dining are just around the corner!
Set these dates aside to see Santa: Dec. 8, 11–15, 21–23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
SantaCon Bar Crawl, Dec. 15
Be extra jolly this season—by trading in the holly for some hops. Don your favorite holiday costume or ugliest sweater and hit downtown Greensboro to try out the city’s best brews. Proceeds from the event will benefit Diversity Jovial Motivational, a local nonprofit. The event includes specials at participating businesses, a Santa hat, and a Koozie!
The bar crawl will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 3 to 9 p.m.
